Essential steps before moving from an iPhone or Android to Light Phone

If you are coming from a smartphone, it is important to follow the steps below to disable certain messaging settings, including RCS, before switching to the Light Phone III to ensure a smooth as possible transition with existing messaging threads.

If coming from iPhone:

  • While FaceTime/iMessage/Phone settings are still active on your current iPhone, please individually un-check and deactivate your phone number associated with them in the “You can receive messages to and reply from” section of the Messages app settings (Settings > Messages > Send & Receive). Then disable BOTH iMessage and RCS.

  • You may need to do this same process on other connected Apple devices like iPads or Macbooks if you have logged into your

If coming from Android/Google phone:

  • You will want to ensure that RCS/Google Messaging is disabled prior to switching your SIM to the Light Phone. This process can sometimes take up to 24 hours to fully take effect.

I received my Light Phone III, how do I activate it?

Your Light Phone III is eSIM compatible, and you'll see step-by-step instructions in your Noble account to activate. Most importantly, you'll see a QR code to scan, which is your new Noble eSIM!

Here are specific steps to follow:

  1. Connect your LPIII to WiFi (Settings > Bluetooth & WiFi > WiFi)

  2. Create and/or connect your Light account on your LPIII

  3. Navigate to Settings > Account & Info > Device Info

    1. Ensure your LPIII is on OS v550 or newer

  4. Tap SIMs > eSIM > Add eSIM > then just scan your QR code

  5. Tap SIMs > eSIM > Noble > Enable

  6. Restart your LPIII

You'll also receive an email from us with the same QR code + instructions on how to find this info in your Noble account.


I am having data / browsing issues when traveling internationally with my Light Phone III. What should I do?

If you are traveling internationally and cannot use cellular data, please make sure that data roaming is turned on for your phone and that Noble Global turned on for your account as well!

For data roaming on your phone:

Detailed device instructions for Light Phone:

Open Settings > Preferences > Phone > Toggle On / Off

Note: this is turned OFF by default. You will need to ensure that you turn it on before you travel internationally!

For Noble Global on your account:

From your Noble Dashboard, Select Lines > Manage Line, and ensure that "Noble Global" to turned on. This is turned ON by default when you sign up for Noble!
